Aster DM Quality Care, one of India's largest healthcare providers, has once again been recognised on the national stage, with two of its leaders felicitated at the Financial Express Healthcare Awards 2026, held in New Delhi on July 17, 2026. Organised annually by The Financial Express, the awards spotlight the individuals and institutions setting the pace for innovation and impact across India's healthcare sector.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Executive Chairman, Aster DM Quality Care, was conferred the Lifetime Achievement of the Year – Healthcare (National) award, honouring a career spent widening access to quality care and building one of the region's most trusted healthcare networks from the ground up. Spanning over three decades and serving millions across geographies, that journey has been driven throughout by a conviction that quality care should never be a privilege of the few. The recognition follows a landmark chapter for the group, with the integration of Aster and Quality Care, backed by Blackstone, establishing it among India's top healthcare chains and reshaping the scale at which the organisation serves patients.
Ms. Alisha Moopen, Director, Aster DM Quality Care, was named Healthcare Leader of the Year (National), in recognition of her role in steering the group's growth, advancing its digital and clinical capabilities, and championing initiatives across women's health, mental wellness, and inclusive leadership. Under her leadership, the organisation has moved to place technology and preventive care at the centre of how it serves patients, reflecting her belief that the future of healthcare will be defined not only by scale, but by how thoughtfully care reaches every community.
Additionally, Dr. M. I. Sahadulla, Group CMD, KIMSHEALTH, was also honoured at the ceremony with the Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of his decades of pioneering work in building world-class healthcare infrastructure and advancing clinical excellence across the Southern region. At the institutional level, KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum was conferred two further honours: Excellence in Multi-Specialty Care (National) and Excellence in Cardiac Care (South India). The awards reflect the depth of the hospital's clinical expertise and the trust it continues to earn from the communities it serves.
Together, these honours mark more than individual achievement. They affirm the strength of a combined organisation now operating at greater scale, and the conviction behind it: that quality care should know no boundaries of geography, income, or circumstance. As Aster DM Quality Care steps into this next chapter, it does so with a clear ambition, to set the standard for accessible, technology-enabled, and compassionate healthcare in India and beyond.
