The event was curated with the aim of fostering India's timeless Ganga-Jamunitehzeeb, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Krisumi Corporation.
The two-day event held on May 24–25, celebrated India's rich literary and artistic heritage, which drew enthusiasts from all walks of life. While day one of the celebrations was dedicated to Dance, Poetry and Devotion; day two was a Symphony of Ghazals, Wit, and Wisdom.
Explaining the aim and intent of the festival, Mr. Vineet Nanda, Director, Sales and Marketing, Krisumi Corporation, said, “Our aim was to celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage and harmonious traditions within a contemporary space. The way people engaged with each performance, whether classical dance, music, or poetry, proved that there is a deep inclination for art that connects us to our roots. We are proud to have created a platform where tradition meets modernity and where culture becomes a shared, lived experience for all.”
Richa Jain & Group set the tone on the inaugural day with a presentation of ‘Kathak-Katha’. With evocative movements and devotional storytelling centered on Lord Krishna, the performance immersed the audience in Indian mythology.
The literary session featured Dr. Mahendra Bhishma in conversation with Ms. Bharti, where he discussed his renowned work Kahani Ek Kirdar Anek, followed by a poetic symposium presented by poets including Col. Gautam Rajrishi, Gulzar Wani (IRS), Meenakshi Jijivisha, and others held the audience in rapt attention.
Jashn-e-Adab’s visionary founder, Kunwar Ranjeet Singh Chauhan, emphasized, “We’re not just organizing events; we’re building bridges between generations through poetry, music, and love. This is our living heritage — and it belongs everywhere, not just in elite halls.”
The evening ascended into the divine with a classical vocal performance titled “Chalo Mann Vrindavan Ki Oor” by Padma Bhushan Pt. Sajan Mishra and Swaransh Mishra, before culminating in a spiritually uplifting Sufi musical session — ‘Mohe Lagi Lagan’ by Dr. Mamta Joshi & Group.
The day two of the event was dedicated to Symphony of Ghazals, Wit, and Wisdom. It commenced with a soul-stirring Mehfil-e-Ghazal by Shakeel Ahmed, followed by a refreshing dose of laughter and reflection with celebrated comedian Rehman Khan.
Renowned vocalist Dr. Vidya Shah then took the stage with Hamari Atariya Pe, seamlessly blending Dadra, Thumri, and Ghazal, earning thunderous applause for her rich, emotive voice.
A highlight of the day was the Grand Finale, which included an instrumental saxophone performance by Padma Shri Dr. Yash Gulati, followed by an unforgettable Kavi Sammelan& Mushaira. Literary stalwarts such as prof. Waseem Barelvi , Padma Shri Surender Sharma, Farhat Ehsaas, Qaiser Khalid (IPS), Javed Mushairi, Alok Aviral, Dr. Sita Sagar, Kunwar Ranjeet Chauhan and others lit up the evening with verses that ranged from romantic to revolutionary.
