Breaking News

From 9 to 13 November, FPT Industrial will be attending EIMA International 2022, one of the leading European trade fairs for agricultural equipment. Sustainability, efficiency and alternative propulsion solutions are the main themes of the Brand’s presence at BolognaFiere (Bologna, Italy).

Through an extended offering of Stage V engines and PowerPacks, biomethane and hybrid powertrains, plus new off-road battery packs, FPT Industrial is providing agricultural equipment manufacturers with a complete choice to power machines of every size with the best energy mix solutions.

F28 HYBRID FOR AGRICULTURAL APPLICATIONS – THE SUSTAINABLE COMPACT POWERTRAIN
The F28 Hybrid exemplifies FPT Industrial’s commitment to low-emission solutions in the agricultural equipment sector.
Unveiled at Agritechnica in 2019, the hybrid powertrain harnesses a diesel engine paired with an e-flywheel, combining high performance and low fuel consumption in a compact packaging.
The in-line four-cylinder engine delivers a maximum power of 75 hp, while the electric motor adds 27 hp of continuous power and 40 hp of peak power. Its integrated layout allows for plug & play replacement of larger diesel versions. The F28 Hybrid is the best solution for an effective use of agricultural e-implements, guaranteeing improved efficiency thanks to engine downsizing and optimized operating points. Thanks to decoupling and improved implement efficiency, a 15% to 20% reduction in fuel consumption can be achieved, depending on the e-implement technology.

The F28 Hybrid is conceived with a modular approach with current 48 V P1 configuration, suitable for electric power up to 20 kW, scalable to high voltage P2 layout that would enable higher power output and plug-in solutions for zero-emissions operations (indoor/stable/greenhouse activities).

F28 POWERPACK STAGE V – THE SMART INSTALLATION SOLUTION

A new version of the Diesel of The Year 2020 is the F28 PowerPack that completes FPT Industrial Power Units offering for industrial applications.
The recently launched F28 PowerPack offers the best performance in its category in an extremely compact package, including all key after-treatment components, thus simplifying the overall installation effort. Indeed, the F28 PowerPack comes as a complete pre-assembled solution, which includes the cooling package, air filter and the most compact ATS in the category.
Providing the performance of a 3.4-liter engine in a 2-liter package, the F28 PowerPack is an ideal single-engine solution for several applications. Six-hundred-hour oil-change intervals contribute to further lowering operating costs.

F36 POWERPACK STAGE V – EMISSION COMPLIANCE MADE EASY
Together with the F28 PowerPack, the F36 PowerPack Stage V is part of FPT Industrial’s comprehensive Power Units offering. It represents a powerful, flexible and reliable solution for stationary and semi-stationary applications, such as irrigation pumps, hydraulic power units, manure and de-watering pumps, wood-chippers and grinders among others.
As with all FPT Industrial’s PowerPacks, it features a single layout for Stage V and Tier 4 Final, making it the perfect solution for markets with different emissions standards.
The compact ATS pack mounted on the engine, including the urea injection system and all required sensors and manifolds, eliminates the need for a dedicated exhaust system development. A range of options such as alternators, starters, water and air preheating, and different urea tank sizes provide further flexibility for customer installations.

All FPT pre-assembled solutions are suitable not only for agriculture customers but also for industrial and power Generation applications.

N67 NG – ENABLING NET-ZERO-CO2 AGRICULTURE
With over 20 years’ experience and more than 70,000 units sold globally, FPT Industrial is leading the introduction of Natural Gas technology in off-road segment applications, with customized engine solutions for installation on agricultural equipment.
The heart of the “Sustainable Tractor of the Year 2022” – New Holland’s T6.180 Methane Power – the N67 Natural Gas is the ultimate clean-energy solution specifically designed for open-field tractors.
Delivering the same performance as its diesel equivalent in terms of power, torque, durability and maintenance intervals, the N67 NG ensures diesel-like drivability and performance for an unchanged customer’s experience, while reducing the carbon footprint of agriculture operations.
In real agricultural working conditions, pollutant emissions are reduced by 80% on average when compared to a standard Diesel engine. CO2 emissions are reduced by a minimum of 10% when compared to a standard Diesel tractor. The engine achieves near net-zero carbon emissions when running on biomethane thus enabling circular ecosystems in agriculture.

BATTERY PACK FOR AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT – THE GREEN ENERGY RESERVE
The growing interest for electrified solutions in agriculture requires specific and advanced battery packs, able to cope with the wide range of field and transport operations involved in modern farm management.
Made in collaboration with Microvast, the FPT eBS 42 battery pack is an advanced energy storage solution for zero-emissions agricultural equipment.
Delivering best-in-class energy density for top performance and featuring a high level of flexibility thanks to the multipack solution, this battery pack can be installed on a variety of agricultural equipment, thus satisfying different customer mission profiles and requirements.

Fabio Rigon, Vice President Commercial Operations EMEA at FPT Industrial, says: “Our goal is to help our customers increase their productivity and efficiency with a wide range of products and connected services, aimed at satisfying all their needs, also the most demanding ones. Customer-centricity is the key point of our business strategy that’s based on putting our customers and the distributors network first, in order to provide a positive experience and build robust and long-term relationships.”
